York-Durham Heritage Railway

Posted in on boys, toddler by Allie on December 6, 2010

Obviously, we knew that if we took the train-loving Buddy-O on a trip to Uxbridge to board the Santa Train, he would love looking at the outside of the train more than sitting on the inside with some scary dude with a white beard. But we boarded anyway, and had an okay time. He got to give his tickets to the conductor, saw some magic, got a balloon dog, tried to give his tickets to Santa, and now recognizes the jolly ol’ fat guy. Even calls him “Sa”.

And no meltdowns, which is what really counts.

. . . . . . .

But really, nothing was as great as his first reaction to the train when we pulled up. Notice him gesticulating wildly. He could not sign train hard enough.
