This is a good picture of my dog. We don’t get many of these because a) she’s not very high contrast, so cameras have a lot of trouble focusing on her face and b) she’s terrified of pretty much everything, so getting her to sit for a photo is next to impossible.
Things Addie is afraid of reads like that part in Fawlty Towers when Sybil is going on about her mother: “…doorknobs, open spaces, closed spaces…It’s really hard to get the space just right for her”. Addie is afraid of sail boats, big ships, bridges, windsurfers, kites, her chew toys, feet, birds of prey, the TV (especially if something is zooming), thunderstorms, fireworks, gunshots (note: she is a hunting dog), lights that suddenly get bigger, large dogs, and bees.
Note the slightly worried face above. It was probably the lo-fi technology that worried her this time. Or maybe she heard instant film steals your soul.
